East Coast FJ1100 Motorcycle Rally - West Coast FJ1200 Motorcycle Rally Flash.

2011 West Coast Yamaha FJ Rally

This will be the 9th Annual West Coast Rally. The 1st one was in Placerville, CA, #2, #3 and #4 were in Petaluma, CA. #5 was in Manchester Beach, CA. #6 was in Willits, CA. #7 was back in Petaluma, CA. #8 was back in Willits, CA. This one will be at the Bar 717 Ranch outside of Hayfork, CA.  This will give us the world famous HWY 36 at our fingertips! (as well as several other fantastic roads)

Dates: June 2nd - June 5th, 2011

Location: Bar 717 Ranch, Hayfork CA

Please DO NOT contact the Bar 717 Ranch on your own!  Payment will be in person via cash or check when you arrive.  Rooms will be assigned and figured out shortly before the rally.  I will be in contact with everyone to figure that out as the date gets closer.  Females and those with females will have priority when it comes to private rooms and rooms with private bathrooms.

This is a private ranch on 450 acres that has been hosting summer camps for kids for 78 years.  We will be here before the camps start for the season and will have the entire place privately to ourselves!  Kitchen staff will be there to cook us 3 meals a day (they will even make us sack lunches to take with us on our daily rides).  All of the meat we will be served is actually from the ranch itself.  They have a large firepit up atop a hill in a meadow that overlooks the grounds and lakes, etc.  They will even provide the firewood for us included in the price!  There are plenty of Adirondack chairs and benches for us - so there is no need to bring any folding chairs.  This place is made to accommodate 200 people - so it will be pretty cool having it all to ourselves!

There are a number of guestrooms and cabins and houses around that should accommodate all of us in style - many have private bathrooms.  Some have kitchens, woodstoves, etc.  Click Here for a Detailed Description (scroll down to the middle of the page).

They also have more then 20 of these cool Sleeping Platforms.  Quote from them: "These sleeping structures are our own invention, perfectly adapted to our summer climate of warm, dry days and cool nights. A Platform is a cabin-like structure with 3 walls and a roof, open on 1 side to views of the pasture or forest. Platforms are grouped into living areas, each no more than a few minutes walk from the main camp area. Each platform sleeps from 6 to 15 people and has a sink and bathroom. Shower houses are a short walk away."

Pricing per Night (3 meals a day per person are INCLUDED in the following prices):
Single Person in a room: $65.00
Two People in a room: $47.50 per person (separate beds)
Three People in a room: $40.00 per person (separate beds)
If you want to stay in the Sleeping Platforms it is $45.00 per person.  You could likely have an entire structure to yourself if desired.

It turns out to be less expensive than a KOA - especially if you factor in the food!  They DO NOT take credit cards - so be sure to bring Cash or Check to pay them.  (there is an ATM in Hayfork)

We are required to give them a $500.00 group deposit to secure our dates (think of it like prepaying the one night at the KOA).  Update: we now have enough volunteers for the deposit - no more are required.  Thanks guys!

Most of us will be showing up on Thursday, June 2nd in the afternoon.  UPDATE: our check in time on June 2nd is 3:00 pm.  We will all be departing Sunday morning June 5th.  Ride #1 will commence Friday morning, and Ride #2 on Saturday morning.  I look forward to seeing everyone there!  This should be the best West Coast Rally Ever!

4 Rallies This Year

There are currently 4 FJ Rallies being held in 2011. These originated with the East Coast Rallies and has now spread out west. Each year there are 3 East Coast Rallies; a Spring Rally held in Boone, NC - a North East Summer Rally held in West Bethel, ME - and a Fall East Coast Rally held in Tellico Plains, TN. There is also one West Coast Rally being held this year in Hayfork, CA.

Get to know us!

The FJ1100 / FJ1200 Owners Forum is the primary meeting place on the web for FJ owners that attend these rallies.  Stop by - join up and get to know us - it's Free!

No FJ? Want to go?

All are welcome to attend an FJ rally - we do not discriminate  - an FJ is NOT necessary!  We have had attendees on BMWs, R1s (many of whom have crashed trying to keep up with the FJs), Goldwings, Cruisers, Dirt Bikes, Aprilias, Bandits, etc. etc.  Also - please do not worry about your skill level - we either have various speed level groups - and/or we always wait at turns.  That said - we frown on squidly riders: those who ride fast on the straights, slow in the turns and think they are the shit but really suck.
